Campaign Highlights, August 23, 2020
ELECTION DAY IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER! There's a lot of worry and confusion about voting this year. Whether you choose to vote in-person or absentee, the best advice is to VOTE EARLY!
Indiana absentee ballots be mailed to voters starting on September 19. Remember to double check your voter registration, find your polling location, or request an absentee ballot if you prefer to vote by mail. You can do all this here: https://indianavoters.in.gov/
A RAY OF SUNSHINE Sunny yellow “Thomasina for Congress” yard signs are sprouting everywhere we look! Contact us to request one of these perfect fall accessories and spread a little sunshine on your own lawn.
WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING What a week it's been! Thomasina had a great time serving as one of five 8th District delegates at the Democratic Convention, and she's even more inspired to help the Great 8th “Build Back Better” in 2020!
On August 19, Thomasina visited Terre Haute for a lively conversation with Indivisible IN 8th District as they wrote post cards for Hope in 8.
Thomasina headed to Evansville on August 20, joining other candidates at a “pop up” meet and greet at Lamasco Bar and Grill. Many thanks to everyone who stopped by!
August 22 was filled with fresh air and smiles in Spencer County as the “Caravan of Hope” traveled to Mariah Hill and Santa Claus. You can see all the video clips from Thomasina's “whistle stop” tour here: https://www.facebook.com/pg/Hopein8/videos/
UPCOMING EVENTS: WHERE TO SEE THOMASINA Although we're still catching our breath from convention week, Hope in 8 is still traveling up and down the 8th district. Keep an eye out for her wherever you go, and contact us if you'd like to schedule an event with Thomasina.
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE COVID-19 case numbers are still rising across our district. Please do everything you can to remain safe and healthy. Wear a snug mask that covers your nose, mouth, and chin, wash your hands often, be vigilant about social distancing, and stay home as much as possible to reduce the spread. The Hope in 8 team cares about you!
DID YOU KNOW? 2020 is a year like no other, and the need for change has never been clearer. Thomasina's vision for our future has wide appeal, but voters must learn about it before the election. Send Hope to Washington, D.C. by supporting our grassroots media campaign, which will cost $30,000. Chip in $5, $10, $15, or $20 today. Every dollar makes a difference!
If you can give more, please do. The maximum donation is $2,800.00. Indiana's future lies in our hands. Let's flip the Great 8th together! Donate at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/hope-in-8-1
